Bob Raehn
Bob Raehn (pronounced "ran") moved from Orlando, Florida to Hilton Head
Island thirty years ago to take a position with the Sea Pines Real Estate
Company. Thus began a successful career representing many of the lowcountry’s
real estate pioneer developments such as Melrose, Bloody Point, Indigo Run,
Belfair, Berkeley Hall, and, Hampton Hall.
Bob joined his friends and real estate colleagues at Gateway Realty. At the end of 2008, some of Bob’s long-time friends and clients
sought his counsel on options to avoid possible foreclosure in the declining
economy. Bob saw the need for an expert in this area and attended The
Distressed Property Institute and obtained certification as a Distressed
Property Expert. In addition to his traditional real estate practice at
Gateway, Bob specializes in counseling clients, realtors and bankers facing

An avid outdoorsman, Bob has always enjoyed the area’s superb hunting, fishing and golfing opportunities. Another love of Bob’s life is his wife, Duchess, whom he met and married after moving to Hilton Head.    Duchess and Bob are the proud parents of four grown sons.
